"La Bella d'Alghero"
The Antonio Marras Fall Winter 2025 Fashion Show is inspired by La Bella d'Alghero, a musical work from 1892 that tells a love story set in the Sardinian city of Alghero. The protagonist, a young woman of extraordinary beauty, is struggling between two men, overwhelming passions and social constraints.
The show explores a refined balance of exquisite fabrics such as Prince of Wales, brocade, and Ottoman jacquard, juxtaposed with contemporary materials like leather and denim. Embroidery, appliqués, and layered fabrics enrich garments with tailored, voluminous, and multi-layered silhouettes, creating a dialogue between structure and fluidity. Roses, hands, stripes, and portraits continue to bloom as a distinctive element through brushstrokes and drawings created directly by Antonio Marras.
